Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Abbey Tree and Fencing Services (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides tree surgery, fencing, groundworks, grounds maintenance and related services to our customers (“you”). By accepting a quotation or asking us to carry out work, you agree to these terms.

Quotations and estimates

Quotations are based on the information available at the time and, where possible, a site visit. Unless stated otherwise, a quotation is valid for 30 days. If the scope of work changes, or conditions on site are found to differ from those expected, we will discuss any change in price with you before proceeding.

Acceptance of work

A booking is confirmed once you accept our quotation and we agree a date for the work. We will do our best to keep to agreed dates, but timings may be affected by weather, access or other factors outside our control.

Access and site conditions

You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the work area. Please tell us in advance of any hazards, underground services, pets or other matters that may affect the work. We are not responsible for delays or additional costs caused by restricted access or undisclosed site conditions.

Trees, permissions and protected sites

It is the customer’s responsibility to confirm whether any tree is protected by a Tree Preservation Order (TPO) or is within a Conservation Area, and to obtain any necessary permissions before work begins. We are happy to advise, but cannot be held responsible for work carried out without the appropriate consents where these have not been disclosed to us.

Pricing and payment

Prices are as set out in your quotation. Unless agreed otherwise, payment is due on completion of the work. We will confirm accepted payment methods when we book your job.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel or rearrange, please give us as much notice as possible. We reserve the right to charge for costs already incurred where work is cancelled at short notice.

Waste and materials

Unless stated otherwise in your quotation, we will remove waste arising from the work. Logs, wood chip and other materials remain our property unless specifically included in your quotation.

Insurance and liability

We are fully insured and carry out all work to a safe, professional standard. We take reasonable care on your property, but cannot accept liability for pre-existing defects, or for damage arising from undisclosed hazards or conditions beyond our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

Complaints

We want you to be happy with our work. If you have any concerns, please contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to put things right.

Governing law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the law of Northern Ireland.
